[Rewarded Review] I'm still using them but I'm not happy about it
AbigailK· Review provided by bestbuy.com · June 7, 2024
My biggest complaint is that there is a constant ringing in the right earbud whenever audio is playing that is annoying. Both earbuds do not stay in throughout vigorous activity, even with experimenting with the various sizes. The right ear seems to stay a little better, but for the left the cord is too rigid and pulls at the earbud. (That one might be user error because I don't usually use the left except at work.)
The noise cancelling kinda works if the earbuds are jammed in there, but if the music is too quiet then I'll just hear the ringing in the right earbud which always plays at the same level. Because the earbuds are in danger of falling out, I'm hesitant to use them at work around power tools and the noise cancelling doesn't work as well as some other earbuds I've had unless the music is turned way up which gets dangerous.
But they work great on the subway when I'm sitting still and I really like that the music pauses automatically when I take them off and the earbuds magnet together.
I also like the button layout, although the power button was a little sensitive when I started so they would turn on automatically if accidentally bumped but I haven't had that problem recently. Love the battery life, have not had a problem with it dying at work and I sometimes use it 8+ hours a day.
I'm not a fan of the open charging port, I haven't had a problem yet but I do work in a dusty environment at times and walk in the rain so I am concerned about it becoming a problem.
Would not purchase again, the ringing may just be a this set problem, but the falling out and iffy noise cancelation are deal breakers for someone who exercises and works in construction.
horrendous battery life, lackluster app, poor audio, bulky ear buds

The battery life on these are horrendous. They claim to have a 12 hour play time but I doubt that claim. In comparison to the Sony WI-C310, which unfortunately appears to be discontinued, these have about half the battery life. The Beats app is basically useless and is quite a disappointment when you compare it to a lesser known company app such as SoundCore(Anker) where on their app you have so much options on customizing sound profiles using an equalizer and safe sound levels. The audio is very flat and since there is no equalizer option in the Beats app you cannot enhance the sound or make custom sound profiles without another third party app. The earbuds are bulky in comparison to the WI-C310 and I suspect it is because the beats place the battereies in the ear buds rather than in the neck/collar controls like the WI-C310. In summary if you find a supply of the Sony WI-C310 buy a lifetime supply of those and let me know too. The WI-C310 outperforms these in every metric and it is a shame Sony discontinued these even thought they had faults of their own. These are no better than the cheap $20 magnetic ear buds you can find on Amazon by a knock off chinese vendor save your money and buy those or the WI-C310 if you can find them in stock.
Worth it!

I have headphones around my neck 24/7. it's just who I am. I prefer this around the neck, with bluetooth style because I have little ear holes and all headphones always fall out. My last few pairs were a random brand from Amazon, but they were great. However, they were bigger and bulkier, made of hard plastic all the way around. The plastic always broke after a year or so (which is fine, I think, because of how much I used them, slept with them, etc). When my last headphones finally broke completely, when looking for a new pair, I came across these Beats Flex headphones on sale. The fearures sounded great, the style looked to be perfect for me, so I ordered them instead of going with my trusty regular style from amazon. I am SO glad I did. These are the best headphones I've ever had for this price. I have paid way way more for Sony, LG, etc, in the past, and none of them had the features of these.
The autopause feature is amazing. The magnetic feature to keep the buds together is wonderful. They do last all day, but they charge so so fast! 90 minutes to a full charge and mine actually just went from 6% to 84% battery life in 50 minutes, so I dont even know if it would take the full 90 minutes.
theyre so comfortable, i forget I have them on. I fall asleep with them and sleep great, no weird discomfort from being stabbed in the neck by hard plastic in my sleep anymore, Lol.
They sound fantastic, great noise cancelling. They look nice, as well. They work well with both my android phone and my iPad. just all around great product for the price!
Also, for someone with the goofy earholes I have that can't keep a headphone in place to save my life, these are seriously amazing. ive never found headphones that fit me as well as these... and they come with 3 other sets of the rubber earbud thingies so they're sure to fit anyone!
[Rewarded Review] Where's the Base?
MikeC· Review provided by bestbuy.com · February 21, 2024
I had a pair of Apple pro earbods from a few years ago and I a single one of them was stolen - enough about that. The sound quality was great but not quite as good as my regular Bose over the ear older phones or the Soul over the ear ones - both of the latter were wired not wireless. In any event, I really liked the idea of blue-tooth with something harder to lose - I liked the idea of the neck cord and bought them for their reasonable price and the reviews. I was taken aback when I got them home - the music quality - to me - stinks. Very little base compared to the other headphones I've mentioned. I thought maybe they'd sound better with one of the other earpads included and the fattest ones did sound better than the ones attached out of the box but they were still not up to snuff in my book. These would be good to pair with a television or listen to a book or things like that but I just don't think the sound quality is good enough for me to keep these for listening to music. I love sitting around playing myself a concert via youtube videos with headphones on and honestly, these won't be the headphones I'll be wearing. Not sure if I'll keep them or return them - as I said - I think they'll be useful for some tasks. Not sure how others felt the sound quality was so good.
